Council tax guide 2026-2027
Why your council tax bill may not show your council tax reduction, support or new discount yet
Your council tax bill for 2026/27 was created as part of our annual billing process in early March. At that time, we used the information we had on your account then. We are now in a period before the new financial year begins on 1 April 2026, during which updated bills will not be issued. If you receive council tax support, please be reassured that your support has not been removed. Any changes to your support or balance due to discount will be applied to your account and a revised bill will be issued after 1 April 2026, with your instalments recalculated automatically. You will not be asked to pay more because of this temporary delay.
