Keeping warm

Keeping warm in the winter months is important in ensuring you stay healthy. By keeping warm over the winter, you can reduce the chance of colds, flu and pneumonia, falls and injuries, heart attacks, strokes and depression.

If you, or someone you know, struggles to keep themselves and their home warm due to their physical abilities, housing  and / or financial circumstances there are a number of things you can do and organisations you can contact.

It is also important to make sure you stay cool in the summer months. NHS choices and Public Health England have advice on how to keep cool in the summer.

TOP TIP

Take action and make contact with the best organisation(s) for you before the weather changes to make sure you are prepared.
