Reviewing a decision
The local welfare assistance scheme ended on 31 March 2026. This has been replaced with Crisis Payments (Crisis Resilience Fund)
There is no statutory right of appeal under the local welfare assistance scheme, but you can ask for the decision to be reviewed.
The decision will be looked at again, however if your crisis has already passed the payment may not be made.
