Managing your tenancy – restricted and prohibited activities

Your tenancy agreement sets out the terms which you must follow, please read your tenancy agreement to see the full version of these terms. They include the following:

  • You must live in your home and not sublet it.  If you are away from your home for short periods you must not use your home as a holiday let
  • You must not create noise that is so loud that it disturbs neighbours. You must avoid making noise between 11pm and 7.30am and do not carry out any DIY work before 9am or after 5pm on any day of the week
  • You need our permission to keep a dog. You do not need our permission to keep a cat unless you have more than two.  Breeding of animals is not allowed
  • You must not smoke or vape in any internal shared area
  • You must not use, make, supply, cultivate, or store any drug in your home, communal areas or neighbourhood. This does not apply to lawfully prescribed drugs for medical use by an individual
  • You must not threaten any violence or perpetrate any kind of abuse towards others, either inside or outside your home
  • You must not use your home, or allow it to be used, for any criminal purpose
  • You must not cause harassment (including racial harassment), nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to others, either directly or through social media. This also extends to your household members and visitors.
