Your neighbourhood

Being a good neighbour

Your tenancy agreement sets out your full responsibilities for being a good neighbour. In order for everyone to be able to enjoy their neighbourhood, you are expected to follow these rules:

Rubbish

You must put all rubbish, household waste and recycling into appropriate bin bags, chutes or containers and not leave it in any communal areas.

You or anyone who lives with you or visits you must not leave any rubbish, including large items (for example, old furniture or domestic appliances), in shared or communal areas. We will charge you if we have to remove it.

You must not store or keep scrap, scrap metal, rubbish, vehicle parts or any other materials in your garden or communal areas that may cause a nuisance or damage the garden or communal area.

Vehicles

You must not block local roads and other access. You must keep them, and car parking spaces, clear of unroadworthy vehicles and other obstructions. You must not park any untaxed vehicle at your home or on the land or roads around it.

We may remove any vehicle we think is causing an obstruction, is a nuisance, or is a risk to the health and safety of others.

Treating others with respect

You are responsible for your behaviour and that of everyone who lives in or visits your home, shared areas and the neighbourhood.

You, or anyone else whose behaviour you are responsible for (this includes children), must not cause or threaten to cause, a nuisance, annoyance, or disturbance to our staff, agents, contractors or to anyone else.
