Garden waste recycling

Items that can be put in the re-usable sacks, wheelie bin or biodegradable sacks:

• grass cuttings
• twigs and hedge trimmings
• plants and weeds
• flowers
• leaves
• garden prunings

Please don’t overfill your containers, as it can make them heavy and difficult to move.  Your containers cannot be emptied if they contain any other items like soil, rubble, other bags or fallen fruit (please use the food waste collection service for fallen fruit).

The council does not accept garden waste in the normal household refuse collection. Large quantities of garden waste will be accepted for composting at the re-use and recycling centres
