Garden waste recycling
Introduction
The garden waste service is a chargeable garden waste collection.
You can sign up from 1 March 2013 for the garden waste subscription service.
Garden waste is collected fortnightly, on the same day as your refuse and recycling collections.
Sending garden waste to landfill sites instead of recycling/composting it is a waste of resources. In a landfill, the garden waste rots down without air (anaerobically), creating methane (one of the greenhouse gases).
