School admissions

Going to a new school is a very important step for your child. Ealing Council wants to make the process of applying for a school place as easy as possible for parents and carers.

There are two types of admissions, main round admissions and in-year admissions.

It is important that you know what type you are applying for:

Main round admissions

Main round admissions applies to the ‘main intake’ of pupils who are due to start primary school, junior school or high School in September 2015 as follows:

  • Pupils who are due to start in the reception class at primary school in September 2015
  • Pupils who are currently in Year 2 at an infant School and will be transferring to junior School in September 2015
  • Pupils who are currently in Year 6 at primary school and will be transferring to high School in September 2015
