Applying for a high school
Children in year 6 will move from primary to high school (year 7) in September 2027.
You must apply to your local council, no matter where the school is located. The application deadline is 31 October 2026. Late applications will be processed after national offer day.
National offer day for on-time applicants is 1 March 2027. If you apply online, you will get an email in the evening confirming the school that has been offered.
