School admissions arrangements proposed changes for 2026/27

The consultation

Every year admissions authorities are required to determine their admissions arrangements and consult on any proposed changes. They are also required to consult even where there are no changes, and it has been 7 years since their last consultation. They are required to publish a draft of the revised policies and consult on any proposed changes with residents, other admission authorities and any other persons with an interest in the arrangements.

This year the council are consulting on a proposed reduction in the published admission number (PAN) from 60 to 30 places at Downe Manor Primary School and Drayton Green Primary School. There are no proposed changes to the oversubscription criteria for community schools for 2026/27.

The following own admission authority schools (Academies, Foundation, Voluntary Aided schools) are consulting on their admissions arrangements for 2026/27:

  • St Vincent's Catholic Primary School are proposing a change to the oversubscription criteria for Catholic children living outside the parish of Our Lady of Lourdes and St Aiden's
  • Ada Lovelace CofE High School are proposing a change to the oversubscription criteria to include children of staff
  • Brentside High School are proposing a reduction to the published admission number from 252 to 224
  • Ealing Fields High School are proposing a change to the oversubscription criteria to include children of staff
  • Featherstone High School are proposing a change to the admissions policy to include children of staff
  • Greenford High School are proposing a reduction to the published admission number from 300 to 270
  • Northolt High School are proposing a change to the oversubscription criteria to introduce 15 sporting excellence places for children being admitted in Year 7 and improved clarification about the sixth form offer which includes two sporting excellence pathways
  • The Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School are proposing a change to the oversubscription criteria to include children of staff and a change in sibling criteria for children that have a sibling at the school in Year 11 or Year 13 at the time of application
  • Twyford CofE High School are proposing a change to the oversubscription criteria to include children of staff
  • William Perkin CofE High School are proposing a change to the oversubscription criteria to include children of staff

This consultation will be open until 6 January 2025.

What happens next?

Results of the consultation will be sent to the admission authority for the above schools who will make the final decision on the admissions arrangements for 2026/27. These will be published on the council website by the 15 March 2025.
