Climate and ecological strategy

Food systems

Food is important for social and cultural reasons and can help reduce environmental impact.

Being aware of what we eat benefits our health, community, and planet. The goals set in this strategy will help everyone in the borough access sustainable, fresh, and healthy food.

A group from the Ealing food community helped create this part of the council climate strategy.

The first step is for the council to start a food partnership. This partnership will include public, business, and community members who meet regularly to address key food issues.

Ealing Food Partnership will focus on climate change and greenhouse gas emissions but will also address other important issues over time.

If you want to help with Ealing Food Partnership, contact the council’s climate action and sustainability team at climateaction@ealing.gov.uk.
