Equality assessment for Southall Town Hall
The council did not produce a separate Equality Impact Assessment specifically for Southall Town Hall. Instead, it used and updated the findings of the borough-wide Equality Impact Assessment completed in 2018 when deciding to locate services there.
The council reviewed:
- who uses the service locally
- how people with protected characteristics would access the site
- whether any measures were needed to address potential barriers
Equality considerations were also taken into account during subsequent decisions about service provision in Southall.
These decisions included:
- assessing the impact of the closure of the West Ealing hub
- the approval in principle of 68 The Broadway
- the eventual selection of Southall Town Hall when those premises became unavailable
