Recovery Intervention Services Ealing (RISE)

People who use RISE

RISE supports people from all backgrounds across the borough. This includes people of different ages, people in work and out of work, parents, grandparents and residents from all 7 towns.

People access RISE at different stages of their experience with drugs and alcohol. Some are beginning to experience problems. Others may have seen drug or alcohol use affect their health, relationships, housing or employment.  RISE believes people can make positive changes at any stage of their lives.

Everyone who uses RISE does so voluntarily and is taking steps to improve their health and wellbeing.

Many people using the service have experienced trauma, poor mental health or other difficult life events. Drug or alcohol use is often linked to these experiences rather than being the cause of them.

Recovery is not always straightforward. Like many long-term health conditions, dependence can involve periods of progress, setbacks and relapse.

RISE supports people throughout this journey and encourages them to return to treatment whenever they need help.

The service also works across the criminal justice system, including police custody suites, courts, probation services and prisons.
