Recovery Intervention Services Ealing (RISE)

Other locations considered for the service

The search for alternative accommodation began when it became clear that the long-standing West Ealing hub would eventually close because of redevelopment.

A number of premises across the borough were considered, including a proposed site at 68 The Broadway in Southall and locations in Acton and West Ealing.

The Broadway site in Southall was approved in principle (a cabinet decision was necessary because it would have been a private lease) but subsequently became unavailable on the market.

After this, Southall Town Hall became the only suitable alternative available in Southall at that time.

The longer-term aim is to improve access to services across the borough and reduce reliance on a single main hub location. There is active work to explore options in other parts of the borough.

RISE continues to run services from more than 30 locations across the borough and is exploring future options to make sure residents can access support as locally as possible.
