What can I recycle?
Using the garden waste collection service you will be able to recycle the following, using your wheelie bin, reusable or biodegradable sacks.
- Grass cuttings
- Twigs and hedge trimmings
- Plants and weeds
- Flowers
- Leaves
- Pruning
Please don't overfill your containers, as it can make them heavy and difficult to move.
Your containers cannot be emptied if they hold any other items like soil, rubble, other bags or fallen fruit (please use the free food waste collection service for fruit and vegetables).
The council does not accept garden waste in the normal household refuse collection. Large quantities of garden waste will be accepted free of charge for composting at the re-use and recycling centre.
