Withdrawing your application
You are
required to write to us within 12 weeks advising us of whether you wish
to proceed with your Right to Buy application or withdraw from the
scheme. If you do not do this, we will be entitled to serve a notice to
you requiring you to let us know your intention within 28 days, or your
application will be withdrawn.
If you have not completed the purchase having confirmed your wish to do so within three months of the date of the Offer of Sale, a notice will be served to you requiring you to complete the purchase within a limited period (usually 56 days). If you do not comply with this notice a final notice will be served giving a further 56 days to complete your purchase. If you do not comply with the final notice or your rent account is at any time four weeks in arrears after it has been lawfully demanded, your Right to Buy application will be withdrawn automatically by law.
