Support available from RISE
RISE supports people at all stages of drug and alcohol use, from those who are starting to experience problems through to people living with long-term dependence.
The service offers:
- advice and information
- one-to-one support
- recovery planning
- relapse prevention support
- clinical assessments and treatment
- prescribing support, including opiate substitute treatment
- blood-borne virus testing and vaccinations
- needle and syringe programmes
- naloxone to help prevent overdose deaths
- peer support and recovery activities
- employment and training support
- support for women, rough sleepers and people with complex needs
RISE also works closely with:
- mental health services
- homelessness services
- GP practices and pharmacies
- hospitals
- probation services
- prisons
- community organisations
The aim is not only to reduce drug and alcohol use. RISE also helps people improve their health, wellbeing, relationships, housing and employment.
