Micromobility parking
To use a rental e-bike or rental e-scooter in the borough, rides should start and end in a parking bay.
All parking bays are visible in operator's apps. Some bays are marked with paint on the road or pavement. Other parking bays are 'virtual' and only visible on the operator's app.
The council is committed to making all parking bays marked with paint so that residents can identify where rental vehicles should be parked. This process is expected to take around 24 months, starting in August 2025 and ending in summer 2027. There will be several batches of implementing marked bays within this period, rather than implementing all bays at the same time.
