Business waste collection is a separate service and is not included in your business rates.
Licensed waste carriers
Ealing council is licensed to manage your business waste.
There are also other business waste collection companies available.
You will need to make sure they are licensed to collect and dispose of your waste correctly. Visit GOV.UK commercial waste carriers for more information.
Using the council business waste service
Depending on the size and nature of your business:
- the council offers a number of competitive and reliable options for legally disposing of your waste
- the amount you pay will depend on the service you need and volume of waste your business produces
- you can set up monthly or quarterly direct debit, or pay the full amount

Reporting a missed collection
If we have missed your business waste collection, call the customer services team on 020 8825 6000.
Changing or ending your agreement
If you are an existing business waste customer and would like to:
- change your agreement, email businesswaste@ealing.gov.uk or call 020 8825 5333
- end your agreement, email businesswaste@ealing.gov.uk 30 days in advance with your name, account number, business name, and address.
Excluded waste types
The following waste is not collected as part of your business waste collection:
Duty of care
As a business you have a legal duty of care to contain and dispose of trade waste correctly, as:
- under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, businesses must legally and properly contain and dispose of all waste
- your waste removal contractor needs to be a licensed carrier
- penalties for illegal dumping (if traced back to your business) can reach up to £50,000
