Supplementary fees and charges
The applicant will be advised of supplementary charges in writing. Where possible, final fees will be provided but in some instances an estimation or quote will be given.
Officer time
The fees, per hour are:
- Monday to Friday: £38.57
- Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays: £77.14
Additional officer time is charged at the discretion of the assistant director for leisure, in the interest of safety, onsite management or monitoring or for complex or large scale applications where further work is required (for example complex consultations, multiagency planning, events which require a premises licence).
Fees are subject to VAT.
Late application
The fees per application are:
- within 10 weeks of a small or medium event (up to 4999 daily attendance): £75
- within 26 weeks of a large event (5000 or more daily attendance or complex): £150
Late applications will be accommodated at the discretion of the assistant director for leisure. There may be charges for additional officer time.

Additional services
Fees may be charged for additional services, such as provision of water, grass cutting or tree pruning, as applicable.

Reinstatements
Fees may be charged for reinstatement works or costs incurred by the council because of a hire. An additional 15% admin fee may apply. Examples include:
- nuisance fly posting or left litter or rubbish
- ground damage requiring reinstatement by the council
- officers called out to site out (see ‘Officer time’ above)
Fees are subject to VAT.
Lost keys
The fee per set of keys is £100, subject to VAT.
Deposits
An advance deposit may be required at the discretion of the event service where there are increased risks, for example significant or unusual infrastructure or activities, vehicles onsite, new or one-off events.
The deposit will be returned following the event period, less reinstatements incurred.
Any additional charges will be invoiced separately.

Events that take place on the public highway will incur a cost for the closure of any roads and the associated advertising.
