Fees and charges for holding an event in a park or on the highway

Discounts and negotiated rates

Discounts and negotiated rates are in line with the events policy. They are dependent on applicant status and proof of status may be required.

Discounts and negotiated rates will apply to the ‘park event (hire of land)’ and ‘Street event’ element of the fees only (not 'supplementary fees’).

Community and charity events

60% discount will be offered to:

  • Community events, for example friends-of or residents' groups, community or voluntary groups, not-for-profit (NFP) organisations, schools (except fee-paying schools), places of worship
  • Charity events are those organised by a locally registered charity.
  • Applicants must be local (registered to an address in the borough of Ealing)

Key events

Several events have been identified as significantly culturally and economically beneficial to the borough. These events will be charged a fixed rate of £500.

Negotiated rates and special events

Events will be subject to negotiated rates where one or more of the following applies:

  • Street events with a daily attendance of 5,000+
  • Park events with a daily attendance of 10,000+
  • Commercial events (including ticketed events)
  • Multiple sites in use (could include a street event where there is both a static and moving element, for example a run or bike ride)
  • Events at Ealing’s ‘premium venues’ which are Ealing Common, Walpole Park, and Haven Green
  • Significant or atypical infrastructure or activities, including funfairs and circuses
  • Events that are determined to be particularly disruptive at the discretion of the assistant director of leisure.

‘Special events’ include major events, premium site events, funfairs, circuses, or others at the discretion of the assistant director of leisure
