Resident involvement

.The council is committed to working with residents on the regeneration options of Havelock estate.
• Resident steering group: A steering group was set up in June 2008 to explore different redevelopment options for the estate and is still on-going
The key priorities that the resident steering group have identified are to:
• provide improved access and car parking arrangements
• transform the image of Havelock
• provide high quality well designed homes
• provide a range of housing sizes and tenures
• create attractive, and safe communal and public spaces
• make best use of the attractive location including the Grand Union Canal
• provide improved standards of maintenance, management, safety and security
• create a sustainable community
• include community facilities
• to include facilities for young people
• to include shops for local residents
• to link with the regeneration of the wider area
