Resident involvement
Following many design workshops and extensive consultation Ealing Council balloted Highlane residents to make sure our plans were supported by residents. The ballot held in 2018 was successful, with 90% of those voting voted in favour of the council's proposals.
Ealing Council has continued to work with estate residents for a number of years through the Residents Steering Group (RSG).
The RSG is the central forum for making sure residents and all stakeholders stayed engaged in the regeneration process and their active participation continues throughout the duration of the program. The RSG meets once a quarter in the Highlane Community Centre.
Next steps
Ealing are continuing to decant phase one at Highlane, with full vacant possession expected to be during the winter of 2024.
Ealing’s partner developer at Highlane unfortunately went into administration during 2023 and therefore Ealing are now going through a review process to determine the most efficient way to continue the regeneration works on Highlane.
Residents as well as wider stakeholders will be kept updated, and Ealing remains committed to the regeneration of Highlane.
