Recycling your real Christmas tree

Between Monday 6 January and Friday 17 January 2025, those who use the black and blue wheeled bins can leave their real trees on the front edge of their property for collection.

Trees will be collected on the same day as your revised rubbish collection (black bin) each alternate week.

Tree trunks must not exceed 20cm in diameter, or be more than six feet tall (taller trees can be cut in two). Please ensure all decorations are removed.

If you live in a flat or use a communal bin service you will have to take your real tree to one of the councils parks or open spaces. This runs until Friday 17 January 2025.
