Staying warm and keeping the energy bills down

Apply for pension credit by 21 December to get your winter fuel payment - don’t miss out, apply today.

Cold weather payments - if you receive eligible benefits and the average temperature is recorded as, or forecast to be, zero degrees celsius or below over seven consecutive days, you could get a cold weather payment.

Warm home discount is an automatic one-off discount off your electricity bill if you receive eligible benefits.

Warm and welcome spaces - find a local space close to your home.

Healthy Homes Ealing - contact the free helpline for a free consultations (either at home or via telephone) to help improve the energy efficiency and safety of your home.

Apply for a Community Climate Grant - community organisations can apply for up to £10,000 to make themselves more energy efficient.

Children and families

Holiday activities and Food winter programme - free childcare programmes running over the Christmas break which include a nutritious meal. Available for eligible children from reception to year 11.

Keep the kids busy for less in the school holidays - check out free and affordable activities including local places where kids eat free.

Children’s centres – all of the borough’s children’s centres offer a full schedule of free activities for 0-5 year olds and their families.

Access to food

Finding free or affordable food - the Ealing Food Partnership has produced a food map of nutritious, free or inexpensive food throughout the borough.

Homelessness

Contact StreetLink if you are worried about someone sleeping on the streets. They will be able to offer them support and put them in touch with others who can help.
