Appeals - council tax reduction

Late appeals

All council tax reduction appeals must be submitted to the Valuation Tribunal Service, not Ealing Council.

If you are appealing more than two months after the date your review outcome letter was issued, your appeal may not be accepted, unless there are special reasons for the delay. In order for your appeal to be considered, you will need to provide a full written explanation of why your application to appeal is late.

Examples of reasons for a late appeal could include a death in the family, serious illness, a postal strike or any other special circumstance.  The Valuation Tribunal service will consider if the reasons you have given are adequate for your appeal to be accepted.
