Help and advice for people with dementia

Many people with dementia live independent lives and access help and advice that is tailored to their needs.

Ealing Carers Hub 

Offers online, telephone and in-person appointments at the Carers Hub or in your own home. For a wide range of advice, support and access to dementia support services contact the Carers Hub.

Dementia Concern 

Provides a variety of free support available Mondays to Fridays, 9am to 5pm as well as day centre support over the weekends located in Greenford, Acton and Northfields.

Support services include:

  • Dementia advisors - ongoing support and advice of Dementia Concern services
  • Dementia link workers - providing post diagnostic support
  • Community support workers - offered to those living alone who need support to gain independence and stay in the community with independence.
  • Carer’s support group at Elm Lodge in Greenford - separate activities in another room for respite for the person they care for.
  • Short breaks for carers in a community setting - For carers of all conditions (not dementia specific)

Day centres

Age UK Ealing - Provides older adults with both practical assistance and a chance to socialise. The day centre offers a wide variety of activities which promotes health and wellbeing.

Clementina Day Centre
Provides support and care to people with a diagnosis of Dementia. Offering a wide range of activities for brain stimulation as well as physical exercise sessions.

Michael Flanders Centre 
Local authority day centre for those 55 and older, with a diagnosis of dementia including physical disabilities.

Offering a wide range of activities for older adults including exercise sessions that are dementia friendly.

Hanwell Neighbourly Care drop-ins
