Emergency management service

The emergency management service prepares the council, working closely with partners, to respond to, and recover from, civil emergencies and internal disruption. They provide a 24/7 response capability for emergencies to support affected residents, businesses and the emergency services responding, to manage the impacts from the emergency. Examples of major emergencies include fires, flooding, gas leaks, power failures and extreme weather.
