What are our legal basis for processing personal data?
For some services that we provide we can collect and process your data with your consent.
When you give us your consent you can change your mind and withdraw that consent.
We use this to fulfil our contractual obligations to you; or because you have asked us to do something before entering into a contract (eg provide a quote).
Compliance with a legal obligation
We use this when we process your personal data to comply with a common law or statutory obligation.
This is used if we need to process personal data to protect someone’s life.
A public task
We use this basis to process personal data: ‘in the exercise of official authority’. This covers public functions and powers that are set out in law; or to perform a specific task in the public interest that is set out in law.
