Mayoral charity 2019/20
The Mayor of Ealing, Dr Councillor Abdullah Gulaid has selected the following charity to support during his Mayoral year:
Descendants
Descendants work extremely hard to create an environment where young people (primarily but not exclusively) of African and Caribbean descent can learn together to appreciate each others cultures and traditions enabling them to develop a true sense of pride in themselves. With the aid of volunteers, descendants provide weekly educational and inspirational classes, holiday projects and annual achievement awards as well as advice and support sessions to parents.
Descendants was established in Acton in September 1993.
