Ealing Council know that climate change and the ecological emergency are serious problems that need urgent action. That is why we declared a climate emergency in April 2019.
We want to make our borough carbon neutral; meaning we stop adding more carbon to the atmosphere than we remove.
We cannot do this alone. Everyone needs to work together to build a better future, one that improves our health, strengthens our communities, and supports the economy.
How we plan to make the change
Our climate and ecological emergency strategy includes a plan to reduce our own emissions and encourages others to do the same.
This plan aims to protect plants and animals, which are essential for human life.
We are focusing on areas where we have the most power to make change, in our:
- policies
- buying decisions
- projects
- partnerships
Each part of the plan has clear goals and actions to help reduce our carbon emissions.
