Northolt is identified as a strategic area for regeneration under the Mayor of London’s new London Plan, owing to the high levels of pre-existing deprivation that have been further exposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Northolt has largely been left behind in terms of investment, growth and enhancement over the last few decades, and it is now a priority area of focus for the council. We are working with the local community to ensure that investment is directed towards Northolt and that this investment reflects the priorities, needs and aspirations of local people. Earlier this year, Ealing Council began work with local people to develop a community-led vision for the future of Northolt through the Visions for Northolt programme.
Visions for Northolt is already starting to deliver. Building on those conversations with local people, Ealing Council and Transport for London (TfL) have been successful in securing millions of pounds of funding for Northolt.
