Testing for coronavirus is an essential tool in helping to control the spread of the virus, identifying the occurrence of variants of concern and ultimately keeping our residents safe.
Although the number of cases is slowly coming down, our borough still has one of the highest number of cases in London.
Testing will help Ealing to move out of lockdown and move out of lockdown safely.
Whilst the most important thing is for residents to follow the guidance and stay home wherever possible we are also encouraging all people aged over 16 years who have a valid reason for leaving their home to get a test even if they do not have symptoms and to get a test regularly.
We know that people from black and Asian communities have been affected in greater numbers by coronavirus, with more serious illness and death. We particularly encourage residents from these groups to get tested to make sure that we keep all communities safe.
We understand that some people may have concerns about needing to isolate in the event of a positive test. Extra financial and practical support may be available for some residents.
