Medequip is now the provider of the Community Equipment Loan Service in the borough, taking over from NRS Healthcare.
Medequip is a trusted national provider with extensive experience in delivering essential community equipment services across the UK.
During the initial transition, the service will prioritise urgent and critical needs.
You do not need to return equipment that has been prescribed to you on loan because of the change in provider. Please continue to use it as normal.
Awaiting delivery
If you are waiting for daily living equipment, don't worry - Medequip will fulfil critical and urgent orders during the initial phase of the transition.
There may be some delay, but we are working hard to minimise disruption. If you have concerns, please contact the prescriber who ordered the equipment for you.
Medequip staff will wear uniforms, carry ID badges, and contact you before arriving to confirm delivery details. If you receive unexpected messages asking for payment or personal information, report this immediately using the number below.
Returning equipment
Equipment collections will be paused temporarily during the transition. We will share updates when collections resume. In the meantime, please hold onto any equipment you wish to return.
Equipment repair
Medequip will provide a repair and replacement service for critical equipment. Please contact Medequip directly to arrange repairs:
- email: customerservicesheathrow@medequip-uk.com
- call: 020 8750 1580
Specialist equipment
If you need bespoke equipment, your clinician will assess your needs and discuss options with you, including expected delivery times and interim support.
Hospital discharges
Medequip will provide equipment where it is necessary to support hospital discharges. While minor delays may occur during the transition, urgent cases will be prioritised to minimise impact.
Buying equipment
You can buy equipment independently. For advice, visit Medequip’s Self-Help Guide to find products that match your needs. You can also shop at Medequip’s online store: Manage At Home
