The services Medequip provide
The service includes deliveries, collections, maintenance and repairs of equipment. including a range of daily living aids from simple aids for walking, washing and using the toilet, to specialist hoists, beds and seating Equipment is provided when a social care or health professional assesses you as needing it.
Medequip staff will always wear uniforms, carry ID badges and contact you in advance to confirm delivery, repair or collection details. If you receive unexpected messages asking for payment or personal information, report this immediately using the contact details below.
Awaiting delivery
Medequip aims to deliver all equipment in full and on time. If your order has not been delivered on time, contact the prescriber who ordered the equipment on your behalf.
Returning equipment
If you or a member of your family no longer needs equipment, please contact the health or social care professional who prescribed it for you. They can arrange for it to be collected and recycled. If a collection has been arranged on your behalf, keep the equipment until it is picked up. Most equipment can be recycled or re-used once collected, which benefits us all..

Medequip provides a repair and replacement service for all equipment. To arrange a repair, contact Medequip directly:

Specialist equipment
If you need bespoke equipment, your clinician will assess your needs and discuss options with you, including expected delivery times.
Hospital discharges
Medequip will provide equipment to support you if you are being discharged from hospital.
Health and social care professionals can arrange for the right equipment to be delivered in line with your discharge plan.

Getting more involved
If you or someone you care for uses community equipment services, we would love to hear from you. The council are working with people with lived experience to set up a service user and carer forum so that you can be part of planning and shaping community equipment services.
