This Summer Reading Challenge is back again this year, and the theme for 2024 is “Marvellous Makers!”
Calling all children between the ages of 4-11 to read six books over the summer holidays and collect special prizes along the way and get your well-earned medal from and online via Ealing Libraries and the Challenge website.
As well as taking part in the challenge we have a packed full programme filled with activities for you to get involved with, from interactive storytelling sessions lots of craft sessions for you to be a come a Marvellous Maker!
There will also be plenty of arts and crafts activities to get your creative juices flowing! An added bonus this summer is that all those who complete the challenge (Acton, Central, Greenford, Jubilee Gardens, Northolt, Northolt Leisure Southall libraries) will be entered into a free prize draw!
Also, at Northolt Library, throughout July and August you can:
- animal scavenger hut - come along and find pictures of animals around the children's library
- create your own rocket fireworks bookmarks throughout July and August at Northolt library
- mindful colouring every day
At Ealing Central Library, during August, for those aged 6 to 10, write a short story about your own super hero. Give it a name and describe their super powers (no more than 50 words). You can have help from your friends or family.
