Gaming and gambling
Under the Gambling Act 2005, the council is required to publish a gambling policy setting out how it will regulate gambling premises in the borough. The statement of gambling policy must be reviewed every 3 years.
Following public consultation, Ealing Council, as Licensing Authority, has revised its Statement of Licensing Principles as required under the provisions of the Gambling Act 2005 (‘the Act’). The policy was approved at a meeting of the Full Council on 26 May 2026 and came into effect on 2 July 2026 following the statutory publication period.
The current Gambling Policy sets out the broad principles the council applies when exercising its functions under the Gambling Act 2005.
The council has published a Local Area Profile to support the application of its gambling policy and inform local risk assessments.
