Bus lane fines

Bus lanes are designed to give priority to public transport vehicles during set hours. Bus lanes are also in operation on bank holidays.

How to pay a bus lane penalty charge notice (PCN)

The council will send a bus lane penalty charge notice (PCN) by post, to the vehicle's registered keeper within around 28 days of illegally driving in a bus lane. It is the owner, not the driver, who is legally responsible for paying the ticket.

If you think the bus lane penalty charge notice has been wrongly issued, you can challenge the PCN.

You can view the video footage to see why you were fined.
