Freedom Pass online service upgrade
The London Council’s Freedom Pass online service is being improved and will be unavailable from 5pm on 31 August 2026 until 9am on 15 September 2026.
During this period, you will not be able to:
- apply for a Freedom Pass online
- request a replacement Freedom Pass online
- update your details online
If you are eligible for a Freedom Pass and your 60+ Oyster card is due to expire, please apply before 5pm on 31 August 2026 to help make sure you receive your Freedom Pass in time.
We can continue to receive Disabled Persons Freedom Pass paper application forms, available via our website but will not be able to progress the application until the upgrade is complete.
During this time any existing Freedom Pass will continue to work as normal, and there are no changes to the eligibility criteria.

Freedom Pass provides Londoners over the age of 66 and those with eligible disabilities free public transport across the capital and on local buses across England.
