Ealing Council is proud of being one of the greenest boroughs in London thanks to its tree-lined streets and parks.
Trees and the access to green spaces provide many benefits for our residents. In order to maintain and increase these benefits, the tree service carries out tree planting every winter. We make sure that at least one tree is planted for every tree removed.
We will always aim to:
- Plant the largest tree species appropriate to the location
- Look for opportunities to increase the species diversity within the location
- Respect the historic character of the location.
We also plant in new locations to increase the number of trees in some areas.
For more information on how we manage trees throughout the borough, please read the Ealing tree strategy.
We run a memorial tree scheme; where you can sponsor a tree to be planted in a park in memory of a loved one.
