Council tenants and leaseholders living in a block of flats will be given key fobs to open shared doors.
Your key fob guide
New tenants:
- will be given key fobs for family members over 11 years old living in the property when the tenancy starts
- can contact tenancy management on 020 8825 5387 if a child turns 12 and needs a key fob
Leaseholders:
- should get key fobs from the previous owner during the property sale
- the council does not provide free key fobs if they are not received during the purchase
- tenants of leaseholders should get key fobs from their landlord
Key fob limit:
- extra key fobs can be ordered online and cost £19
- no more than 5 key fobs will be issued for any property
Faulty key fobs:
- contact estate services on 020 8574 7385 and provide the colour of the faulty key fob
- replacements are free if the faulty fob is returned when collecting the replacement
- make sure you provide the correct colour to avoid deactivating the wrong key fob
Lost or stolen key fobs:
- replacement key fobs cost £19
- order replacements online and provide the correct colour of the lost or stolen fob
- if stolen, provide a valid CAD reference number from the police for a refund after verification
Collecting your key fobs:
- key fobs are usually available within 10 working days
- you will be told when your fob is ready to collect from your local housing hub via My Account
- if you are collecting a fob from Perceval House, make an appointment with the tenancy team. Call 020 8825 5387 (option 2)
