What can you do about it?

We have a dedicated community safety team committed to cracking down on crime and anti-social behaviour in our communities. They will take every possible step to prevent it. Please do not hesitate to contact the team with any concerns you have. If you wish you can be linked with an officer of your own gender, or someone who can help if you need to talk in your own language. All interviews are strictly confidential.

What action will be taken?

We work in partnership with the police in a joint crackdown on anti-social behaviour. With good procedures in place we can ensure that when cases are reported, we take quick and effective action. We will send warning letters and can take legal action up to and including eviction, depending on the level of offence.

With your permission we will interview the person and any witnesses and can use Acceptable Behaviour Contracts to curb the behaviour of children and young people. We can also use legal remedies like Anti-social Behaviour Orders and injunctions.

If you are at risk we will provide you with extra security. We can give tenants causing anti-social behaviour a less secure tenancy (Demoted Tenancy).
