Disconnections

Unlawful disconnections of electricity, gas and water supplies in domestic premises are investigated by property regulation.

Defective accommodation

Complaints about disrepair and lack of amenities in rented accommodation are investigated by property regulation. Council tenants should firstly contact their housing office.

Rent assessments

An assured shorthold tenant can make a request to London Rent Assessment Panel to review their rent when they move in or when their landlord proposes a rent increase. If the panel finds that your rent is actually lower than a reasonable market rent it may go up.
