Always report suspicious activity
The threat from terrorism to the United Kingdom is real and serious. The Metropolitan Police Service has a key role in protecting London from that threat but they need the help and support of all of our communities.
The security services monitor threats both domestic and international. Since 2006, information about the national threat level has been available on the MI5 and Home Office websites.
The current threat level is severe from international terrorism.
For more information on the threat levels please see the Security Service website.
