The term dates on this page apply to community primary, high and special schools, as well as community‑maintained nurseries.
Academies, foundation schools and voluntary aided schools set their own term dates, so these may be different from the dates listed here.
Community schools have 198 days total and must choose 5 days as training days for teachers, decided by headteachers with staff input. They also have 3 occasional holidays for students and staff set in consultation with their governing body. As these vary between schools, please check your child’s school website for full details.
Autumn term 2025
