Apply for an in year high school place

Please make an in year high school application if your child needs to transfer from the school they are currently attending, or you have moved and your child does not have a school place. If you receive a school offer you must be able to admit your child within 20 school days, or the place may be withdrawn.

Before you apply

Check the year group table to identify the correct year group you need to apply for.

Check the latest high school vacancies to see where we have available school places.

Read the admissions criteria for the school(s) you wish to apply for to understand how applications are prioritised.

Year 10

If your child is currently in Year 10 and is already in education, it is not advisable to transfer schools. There is no guarantee that options and exam boards can be matched between schools and coursework cannot be transferred. This would seriously disadvantage their final GCSE grades.

Year 11

If your child is currently in Year 11 and is already in education, it is not advisable to transfer schools. There is no guarantee that options and exam boards can be matched between schools and coursework cannot be transferred. This would seriously disadvantage their final GCSE grades. If your child is not in education in addtion to completing the application form you must also provide the Year 11 information form to ensure that they can be placed in appropriate full time education. If you do not provide this, it will delay your application.

How to apply

The following schools do not co-ordinate in-year applications with Ealing Council. If you wish to apply you will need to do so directly with the school(s):
