Introduction
Ealing Council has recently adopted its climate and ecological emergency strategy aiming for the borough to be net carbon zero by 2030. As part of our ambition to achieve this, we plan to install a network of on-street electric vehicle charging points (EVCPs) throughout the borough.
The number of electric vehicles (EVs) in the borough is growing rapidly, with currently over 3,000 recorded in late 2021, an increase from 2,000 electric vehicles (EVs) in late 2020. However, for many people a key concern with an electric vehicle is not being able to charge it easily.
The council proposes to install new fast charging points with dedicated parking spaces in your local area helping residents with electric vehicles (EVs) to charge conveniently, and we are seeking your views on this proposal.
