Member representatives
- Dennis Frost (Chair) - Dennis represents Ealing pensioners. He worked for Ealing Council 200116, managing the business of the authority’s Cabinet committee and latterly the Council leader’s office. Before joining Ealing, Dennis worked in universities and was a trustee of one of the sector’s pension schemes. In retirement Dennis has a number of public and community related voluntary roles, including setting the Councillors’ allowances at his Surrey local authority.
- Ian Potts - Ealing pensioner and former elected member. Sat on the Pension Fund Panel for several years – Ian represents pensioners as an ex-councillor pensioner himself.
Experienced as a Councillor member of the panel for many years and is a qualified accountant. - Mary Lancaster, Unison official - Mary has worked in local government for over 30 years. In that time she has always been an active member of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and an involved member of the Unison trade union. Mary is keen to represent the views and concerns of all who are connected with the LGPS.

- Richard Lane - Richard is Director of Finance and Operations for Twyford Church of England Academies Trust. He previously had similar roles at an FE college, a housing association and in the NHS. He represents schools on an LGPS Scheme Advisory Board Committee and is vice chair of a Department for Education Committee concerned with the LGPS. Richard is a qualified member of CIPFA. He has acquired a good knowledge of the LGPS in general, and the Ealing Pension Fund in particular as a member of the Pension Board since 2016.
- Kuol Amour - Kuol joined Ealing Council in January 2023. He was appointed to the Ealing Council Pension Board in September 2025. Prior to joining the Council, Kuol spent 13 years in the finance and investment banking sector, where he held a range of roles including Treasury Analyst, Relation Management, Trade Finance and Operations Office, and IT analyst at the Bank of England. He also has 8 years of personal investment experience and currently maintain a portfolio of global individual stocks. Kuol is pleased to represent council employees and to contribute to ensuring their pension investments are managed responsibly and effectively.
- Sanjiv Bhola - Sanjiv is a principal project manager in the new business team. He has previously worked in both the private sector and various RPs to procure and deliver a range of residential led solutions. Sanjiv is an experienced housing development professional and an experienced stakeholder manager. He joined Ealing Council in November 2019. He has worked in local government for 6 years, in that time he has always been an active member of the Local Government Pension Scheme. Sanjiv is keen to represent the views and concerns of all who are connected with the LGPS.
Functions and operation of the Board
The 2 primary functions of a Local Pension Board are to assist the administering authority to ensure:
- effective and efficient governance and administration of the LGPS
- compliance with relevant laws and regulation.
