What you can expect from us

Travel assessment

Decision sent to parent or carer for travel assessment application: 20 working days from receipt of application 

Time to request a stage 1 or 2 appeal: 20 working days from receipt of decision letter 

Stage 1 appeal to be heard and decision sent: within 20 working days of receiving

Stage 2 appeal to be heard: within 40 working days of receiving 

Decision sent for stage 2 appeal: within 5 working days of appeal heard

Travel assessment general enquiries

General enquiries: response to be sent to emails within 5 working days.

Transport

Transport to start following receipt of referral: within 10 working days 

Transport general enquiries

Acknowledgement to be sent to emails within 48 hours, response to be sent within 5 working days
