This consultation will be open until 28 October 2022
Introduction
This consultation is to seek your views on suggestions to improve road safety on Windsor Road and surrounding area. The proposal is being developed as part of Ealing Council’s transport strategy and highways travel plan to improve safety and sustainable transport across the borough.
The two main suggestions are a new cycle lane and a junction priority change at The Grove junction, Windsor Road. We believe that this will improve pedestrian and cyclists’ safety and convenience when travelling from Uxbridge Road into Windsor Road. The changes will also help reduce speeding in the area.
We carried out speed surveys at various points on Windsor Road in November 2021 over a one-week period to understand the level of traffic volume and speed in the area. These surveys revealed a significant volume of traffic speeding in the area.
We also met with residents and ward councillors in Windsor Road. It was highlighted that there is a problem with congestion and safety concerns for cyclists and pedestrians.
Your views
Please have a look at the plan before completing the questionnaire to submit your views. Information leaflets have also been delivered to residents living in the area.
The survey will be open from 30 September to 28 October 2022.
What happens next
The results of the consultation will be analysed and a decision on whether to install a cycle lane and facilitate a junction priority change will be discussed with ward councillors for their consideration. We will update this page with any further developments.
